Manchester United Set to Secure Germany Striker Lea Schüller from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of sealing the deal for prolific Germany striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Signing for United

Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen holding back emotions while applauding the German club’s supporters after a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its leading strikers. According to reports, all the paperwork for the transfer have now been completed.
Reliable Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Attack
The 28-year-old’s signing is expected to provide a significant boost to United’s attacking options. She has been highly reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
- Over seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-digit tally of league goals.
- She won the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.
Building Momentum at Carrington

Recent on-pitch successes include securing a place in the European knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a victory in the Conti Cup quarter-finals.
In the transfer market, the winter break has seen further business:
- The signing of Sweden defender Hanna Lundkvist on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
- The new deal for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since joining in 2023.
Regarding the midfielder's extension, a senior figure commented: “She has become a critical component to the way we play. Her understanding of the game and technical ability enables her and the team to dominate play from central areas.”
Lundkvist, who has joined from a side from the NWSL, said: “You can feel how much the club have grown in the last few years, playing in one of the most competitive leagues in the world and now featuring in the top European competition.”
