The NBA legend Testifies He Felt No Fear of the Racing Body in Antitrust Trial
The basketball icon, as he cordially introduced himself in a federal courtroom on Friday, stated that his competitive side and status as a newcomer motivated his effort with 23XI Racing to confront Nascar over perceived violations of competition laws.

“Someone had to step forward,” Jordan said during testimony. “As a newcomer, I had no fear. I felt I could challenge Nascar in its entirety. From my perspective, the sport it needed to be looked at through a new lens.”

The heart of the case involves the expiration of a 2016 deal where Nascar granted each team a “charter”. This deal was set to expire in 2024 when Nascar insisted on teams renew their charters.
Jordan testified for about sixty minutes and exited the courthouse to a media frenzy, with onlookers and reporters clamoring for a glimpse or a photo of the global icon.
Leading the Legal Charge
